LaTiTribu: how Codally created the first business marketplace in the French Antilles-Guyana
An entrepreneur in Martinique had a network of over 400 professionals but no tool to structure it. In a few weeks, Codally designed and launched LaTiTribu, the first marketplace platform dedicated to businesses in the French Antilles-Guyana.
It all started with a simple observation: in the French Antilles and Guyana, hundreds of excellent artisans, shopkeepers and service providers remain invisible online. No website, no SEO, no digital storefront. To find them, you have to know someone who knows someone.
LaTiTribu, led by a Martinican entrepreneur heading a digital communications agency, had already built a network of over 400 professionals through social media and community groups. Trust was there. The network existed. But the tool to structure, professionalize and monetize it was missing.
It was with this ambition that she turned to Codally: to build the first marketplace platform entirely dedicated to businesses in the French Antilles and Guyana.
The need: giving a digital storefront to those who don't have one
The reality on the ground was clear. The majority of small businesses in Martinique, Guadeloupe and Guyana don't have a website. They exist on Instagram, on Facebook, sometimes on a WhatsApp group, but they have no structured presence that allows them to be found by a customer searching for "plumber in Le Lamentin" or "caterer in Fort-de-France" on Google.
Existing solutions, building a website, hiring a developer, managing hosting, are too expensive and too complex for an artisan or small shopkeeper. What these businesses needed was a simple alternative: a complete professional page, with product catalog, appointment booking and online payment, all for the price of an affordable monthly subscription.
That's exactly what LaTiTribu was meant to become.
What we built
The platform that Codally designed and developed for LaTiTribu covers the entire journey, for registered businesses and for the customers searching for them.
For businesses, each registration gives access to a true management space. From their dashboard, professionals can create and customize their page, colors, sections, typography, logo and photos, without any technical skills. They manage their product and service catalog, configure their links and payment methods, organize their calendar and appointment bookings, and communicate with their customers via integrated messaging. For a business that previously only had an Instagram page, it's a significant qualitative leap, a real professional storefront with integrated management tools.
For customers, the platform offers a powerful local directory. Search by city, by industry, by keywords. Detailed business profiles with all the information needed to get in touch or place an order. All with free browsing, no account required, the platform is open and accessible to everyone.
The business model is based on three subscription plans designed to support business growth. The Standard plan at €19.90 per month offers a complete profile, homepage promotion and optimized Google SEO. The Booster plan at €49.90 adds a recommendation badge, monthly coaching, calendar management, messaging and a fully customizable page. The Premium plan at €95 per month includes complete communications support with video content, enhanced coaching and administrative assistance.
Our approach: understand before coding
This project illustrates a fundamental aspect of the Codally method: guidance before development.
We spent the first weeks working closely with the founder of LaTiTribu to understand her network, her constraints, her entrepreneurs' expectations and the realities of the Antillean market. What is the digital maturity of a Martinican artisan? What tools does he already use? What price is he willing to pay? Which features are essential at launch and which can wait?
This discovery and needs exploration work allowed us to define the right product, neither too ambitious for a first launch, nor too limited to deliver real value. The first version of LaTiTribu went live in three weeks, deliberately focused on essential features, then progressively enriched based on field feedback.
An ongoing partnership, not a delivered-and-forgotten project
LaTiTribu is not a project we delivered and then left. Codally today handles the maintenance, evolution and technical infrastructure of the platform. Every piece of feedback from the founder and her business clients directly feeds the product roadmap.
This relationship illustrates our conviction at Codally: the best digital products don't come from a fixed set of specifications. They come from continuous collaboration between a technical team that understands the possibilities and a client that understands their market.
In just a few months, the platform has already reached significant milestones: dozens of registered businesses, 12-month subscriptions committed from the first months, and a growing flow of contacts between customers and local businesses.
Why this project matters to us
LaTiTribu represents exactly the type of project Codally loves to carry. It's not the biggest in terms of technical volume. It's a project with strong human impact.
Every business that signs up on LaTiTribu gains visibility, credibility and digital autonomy. A caterer in Fort-de-France who appeared nowhere on Google is now findable, contactable and bookable. A hairdresser in Le Lamentin who managed her appointments via WhatsApp messages now has a professional calendar. An artisan in Pointe-à-Pitre who couldn't afford a website now has a personalized page with his catalog and payment links, for less than 20 euros per month.
It's technology serving the local economy. And it's also proof that Codally can adapt to very different contexts, from a sports complex in the Paris region to a marketplace in the French Antilles, our approach remains the same: understand the need, build the right tool, and stay present for the long term.
